25 Fun Activities For Long Distance Relationship

Being in a long-distance relationship is not easy. Ranging from missing the person every day, the pain of not physically seeing them when you want to. sometimes you can’t help but want to just feel their touch, their arm around you. But you end up getting a virtual.

It comes with its specific emotional stress. But, it’s beautiful. Couples in long-distance relationships should always find a way to stay connected to make up for lost physical presence. Anyways, staying away from your partner for some time actually is a great way to know how strong your relationship is.

I don’t know how couples back in the days did it. But today, I can say living in this era of technology is a blessing.

Couples in a long-distance relationship can now come up with special, fun, and creative activities. With this communication is really not a barrier anymore.

I personally know how it feels to be in a long-distance relationship. And I can tell you it’s not easy. Nothing can compare to being with your partner, being able to hug and kiss them, talk to them face to face without waiting, and looking forward to a particular day to get it.

To be able to stay connected, I had to come up with some fun activities I made up. These activities helped the relationship at that point in time. I know the hassles and problems couples in long-distance relationships go through first hand. Engaging in long distant activities creates and builds special moments and memories which both of you can always look back to and smile.

1.  Play Truth Or Dare

Playing this game with your boyfriend or girlfriend is great fun. I played this game when I was in my Long Distance Relationship. Both of us had a great laugh together. I’m sure you will too.

 

2. Watch Movies Together

Both of you should come up with movies to watch together. Then discuss your favorite scene together. It’s fun.

 

3. Send Letters To Each Other On Your Anniversary

Let’s take, for example, both of you met on the First; every First of the month both of you send letters to each other to say how much you love each other and how grateful you are to still be together. This is an everlasting memory to always look back to and smile as well as look forward to.

4.  Make Something Special

This might be a beaded bracelet, a knitted sock, a stitch on a handkerchief with your partner’s name roughly knitted or the cute name you call him

 

5.  Write A Poem

Coming up with words to express the way you feel, is a sweet way to communicate with your partner. Try coming up with a poem for his birthday.

 

6.  Mail Them Telling Them How Much You Love Them

Imagine getting mail from your partner, where they are telling you how much they miss you and can’t wait to see you.

 

7.  Create A Playlist

Both of you should come up with songs that convey the way you feel toward each other and also songs that you both like, maybe from a mutual favorite artist. Create a playlist. This way you get to listen to songs your partner likes. Unconsciously, you feel closer to them whenever you listen to this playlist.

 

8.  Work Out Together

This can be done via a video call where both of you time yourselves and exercise together, whilst having fun at it. what a great fun activity to engage in with your partner.

 

9.  Prank Them

I personally love surprises and pranks. Try pranking him with “hey!, I’m at the airport or In front of your Apartment, or you are waiting for him at a popular bus stop close to his place and sit back and watch his reaction and have a good laugh. It’s a fun way to spice up your relationship.

 

10.  Send A Voice Note In The Morning

Instead of texting. Try sending a recording of you waking up and saying good morning to your partner. This creates some sort of virtual presence and makes them feel and imagine you are with them.

 

11.  Be Naughty

Sometimes it’s not all talks, fun, games; be naughty sometimes. But you have to know if your partner is someone you can be naughty with and to. If not, I think it’s something you have to discuss with them first before proceeding. This is for couples who haven’t been intimate with their partner before they left.

Talk it with them first and see what they think, so you won’t get disappointed when you choose to be naughty with them. Notwithstanding, this is a great spice up for long-distance relationships.

 

12.  Video Call

Thanks to Technology, you can always see your partner’s face when you want to. Video Calling is a Must when you are in a long distant relationship.

 

13.  Start A Journal Together

Deciding to document all that is happening in your life for your partner to read when they are back. Both of you can decide to do this. Because you can’t possibly say everything when you guys talk on phone, mail, or video chat.

This can be substituted as a fun date night for both of you. Either you cook your favorite food or your partner’s favorite. Then call each other on a video call, to display the outcome and proceed to eat together and chat away… it’s fun!. Trust me.

This might be you imitating a character in a book or movie both of you have seen… Your partner will have a good laugh watching it.

Give them a surprise visit especially when the “I miss you’s” is becoming too much.

 

24.  Send A Screen Shot Of The Very First Chat Both Of You Had

I particularly love this. It’s like a reminder of how it all started. You will just be left with sweet memories of how it all began.

 

25.  Send A Picture Of You

This is one thing you shouldn’t forget. Let them see you and have pictures of you in their gallery. It might be a picture of you going to the grocery store, taking a walk, about to bathe, and so on.
