A relationship goes through ups and downs. This is not necessarily tied to how long the relationship is; there’s really no time frame to when issues have to take to start coming up.
This is where you begin to hear things like “he seems to be withdrawing” or “he’s acting like he doesn’t need me anymore”.
It is no longer news that boys think and act differently. most times they choose to be on their own whenever they are dealing with a problem. So they end up reclining to themselves. They will choose to be alone than talk to you. But as a girl, you just find it absurd because you want to be there for them. You want them to tell you everything.
A guy will suddenly switch up on you for no reason at all that has nothing to do with you. And I know that when it comes to matters of the heart. It gives us sleepless nights and a heart full of worry for our partner. You just want to know what is going on and when he’s not coming through, you end up frustrated, angry and most of the time sad.
It’s a terrible feeling, I know!. There will always come a time in your love life when you will feel like your boyfriend is acting uninterested, he suddenly switches up on you.
It sucks! Because you weren’t expecting it. He will suddenly start acting like he doesn’t need you… Well, I believe it’s a general problem with men because I’ve had countless sessions with women walking into my office to complain about the same issue.
So How Do You Manage This Situation?
Kristen is just barely 3 months into her relationship.she just knows this is not the same person she fell in love with months back. She opened up saying:
“ I know my boyfriend he’s not one who can go a day without knowing how I’m doing or How I Spent My Day. Even if he doesn’t call he will surely text to know what’s happening. A few weeks ago everything was going smooth and fine. We even teased each other about a football match we made plans for the week coming.
Suddenly I called and he didn’t answer. I thought oh! He’s busy but I called again when he didn’t return the first Call. Later on he just casually texted with an “I missed your call”. This came in hours later and when I tried calling back there was still no response, till the next day I had to call again; this time no answer and no response from him.
At first, I was worried something might have happened. but not after text upon texts no replies. It’s just not cool she said. For someone to just suddenly switch up on their partner for no reason.”
The Dilemma Kristine is in, is one that is not far from what the other women have complained. It’s really not understandable how someone will suddenly don’t want to talk to someone they love. Kristen’s story is the story of most women and their relationships. It’s not a sweet situation.
You will just be full of so many uncertainties, what if’s, speculations. As long as you are sure you didn’t do anything wrong. Do these things I’ll be listing and you’ll be fine.

1. Respect His Decision
Since he wants space given the space he needs. I know this is not easy. But it’s important you don’t pass off as someone who is desperate or can’t do without him. ok… Just respect his decision and try as much as possible to let him have it. When he’s ok he will surely come back and of course, give explanations.

2. Don’t Feel Guilty
You have to know that not everything about his life revolves around you. It has nothing to do with you. it’s not your fault. He only has something to deal with and just requires this space to sort it out. Remove the thought that you might have done something wrong and all what not to excuse his behavior.
3. Minimize Bugging Him:
I know that is not easy. It always feels like “call him, call him”, if you can try, minimize it because if you keep calling and texting you might end up irritating him further because he’s seeing all the calls and text but he chose not to answer or respond back. Try as much as possible to resist the temptation.
When you don’t call or text, you know that thing They say the heart grows fonder when you are not always available. So this is to say, he will miss you when you are not calling or texting and this will cause him to reach out.

4. Get Busy
It is important to invest your mind in whatever it is you know will keep you really busy, with this your mind is taking off things. Visit a longtime friend. Desist from romantic songs, because this will in turn cause you to start imagining and wishing.

5. Go Out With Friends
This is not the time to just stay at home sulking or crying and thinking. This is the time to find yourself in the midst of people and what other good people if not your friends. You guys will have a good laugh. You will be amazed that one or two of your friends have gone through the same phase with their boyfriends. So they will encourage you.
6. Keep Fear Away
He loves you, you love him. There’s no need to fear he’s going to leave you. Try putting two and two together and reassure yourself that nothing is going to happen. Don’t allow yourself to always entertain fear; it might be a test of your emotional balance. Remember you can do with or without any man. Your happiness is not tied to any man. You owe yourself happiness.
Sharing Is Caring!

So Good & Right on Time for me! It’s been almost 2 years since I walked away from a 17-year relationship. I am new to dating and this has been our most recent breakdown. I didn’t understand the distance so I pushed and it ultimately created more of an issue based off of thinking I did something wrong.
Thankful for this article – I love when I can gain knowledge that helps me see myself in the breakdown.
Thank you!
